These are wonderful tests and a financial God-send. I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), which means I normally don't ovulate - hence becoming pregnant is difficult. Having the information from these strips was great for our "trying to conceive" journey, both for us and for our doctor. But also, having to use these for more than 9 months before we finally did conceive, the difference in cost between these and what is available in stores was wonderful. I knew we were in this for the long haul, and I'm so glad I found these strips before we actually began to try.
I used them for about 15-20 days of each cycle for nine months, never seeing an actual positive result. I admit, I did wonder whether they actually worked or not. But after three months of metformin (glucophage), my body regulated and ovulated, and these tests detected it. There was no question - I had a positive test. And two weeks later, a positive pregnancy test. I absolutely recommend these strips. I ovulated on day 25 - much later than you'd usually think ovulation would happen. Thanks to these tests, I knew.
No, they don't come in frilly packaging. And yes, I was shocked at first at how it just came in a manila envelope, no instructions. But the tests are individually packaged and sterile. Paying for the frills just isn't worth it to me - I'd rather save that money to buy the baby something! Plus, I prefer the "pee in a cup and dip" method to the midstream tests - somehow I managed to complete nine months of never peeing on myself while peeing in a cup, but when I try one of those midstream things, it goes everywhere.[...] |
They work just fine

I just received my order. The strips are individually packaged in sealed foiled packages. The plastic wrap is only used to hold together the sealed packages, not the individual strips. The strips are tiny, slightly larger than a matchstick. Keep in mind that these are dipping strips, not mid-stream strips, so you'll need a cup to capture your urine.
The instructions were e-mailed to me promptly when the package was mailed, so I had them a week before I received the actual strips. They ship from Canada, so it can take up to a week to get to the US.
I've only used one strip so far, and it worked exactly as it should. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and I'd buy these again. |
Finally Pregnant!!!

| I started using these "stupid strips" about 6-8 months ago and could not get a positive result for anything! The test line would get darker during the month but still only about 1/2 the shade of the control line. I thought it was due to the strips not working. Come to find out, after consulting my doctor, I found out that I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), which means that I don't ovulate normally, only about once every 3-5 months. My doctor put me on Clomid to "trick" my body into ovulating and after adjusting the dosage the lab test showed I ovulated on the 2nd month but not pregnant. So I pulled the strips back out and figured, what the heck, what do I have to loose?! So I started testing again at home to try and find my exact ovulatioin date. There it was, on day 17 of the 3 month on Clomid, I got a positive result (a positive result was more than obvious. I think my line was darker than the control)!! So I read the directions (which were included in the pack and that I had printed off the companies web-site like it told me to do- [...] to have intercourse after 24 hours of testing positive but before 48 hours. So today, day 32 of my cycle, I took a test (actually 2 tests) and PREGNANT! Without these strips we may have missed our window of opportunity! I wish everyone the best and hope you get the same great results I did! I will NEVER call these strips "stupid" again and will be buying more in the future if we decide to have a second child. 100% recommended! If you don't get a positive result, you might want to consult your doctor to do lab work to make sure you're ovulating. Don't automatically assume the strips don't work because they do! |
Really great product!

| I purchased these test strips before reading the reviews. After reading the reviews got worried and so i purchase some additional tests from the store. I was taking them both. I got easier to read results on these ones then the store ones. They both clearly showed i ovulated, but these stripes showed it before the store ones did. First I got a positive on one of these stripes, but a negative on the store ones, so i retested two hours later and got a positive on both, but these ones were still more clear. I really lke them and you cant beat the price. |

Received the items very fast. Within 9 days i have received the items in Singapore from Canada.
I've ordered this test strip for more than 3 times since two years ago. Because it is cheap and i got unstable ovulation timing, i can use it without from day 11 after my last menses till i got ovulation. :)
The test line is stable and clear compared to another product i have tried.

| I was a little concerned about ordering these because of the reviews stating that they do not come with instructions. But they are so much cheaper than store bought ones, I figured I would try them out. Each individual strip is foil wrapped and the wrapping has instructions on printed on it. I didn't get an email with instructions like others, but had a printed set of instructions included in the manilla envelope they arrived in. Sure they are no frills and are dip strips (I prefer that anyway), but I don't need pretty packaging. They were easy to use and worked for me. |
They really work!

| These strips are easy to use and really work. The dark line that appears when you are ovulating is very clear and easy to read. |
Worked for me!

| We were ready to try for #2 but I was still nursing my first son so my cycles never returned and I wasn't sure if I was ovulating or not. I decided to try these due to their price but was a little nervous because they were so inexpensive compared to store and brand-name tests. There were no instructions included in the package but there were instructions emailed to me which were very easy to understand. I showed a positive on my 15th day of testing and am now 6 months pregnant with my second son. I would recommend these to anyone! |
it's quite good

| Actually I bought it in December last year. I think it's quite good, especially the price. The test strips help me to be aware of the moment when I ovulate. |
Great value, easy to use

I was a little nervous about this product since some other reviews had said the sticks didn't come well packaged or with instructions. I was pleasantly suprised.
Each strip comes individually packaged in an envelope, and all of the 50 were in a plastic bag. Certainly not fancy packaging like the ClearBlue, but for price, it was fabulous. There was also an insert with instructions on how to use the strips.
I've used a few, and I found them easy to use and easy to read. I'm only in the first week, so I don't have any comments on the accuracy of the strips. However, they seem to be relatively good quality. If this pack of 50 strips is not enough, I'd buy these again. |
Functional and Affordable

| These tests seem to work as well as the ones you'd buy from a store, but for a fraction of the cost. That said, they are quite small and take some getting used to if you're used to the other tests. My advice... if you're testing for the first time, it may be worth it to use the higher priced ones because they are a bit easier to use; after a couple months (especially if you have long or irregular cycles so are testing for more than a week each month) go with these. They are pink, rather than the green shown in the illustration, instructions came with the package... each test is individually sealed. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this and will purchase again if I need to. |
It does the job and it's affordable

| This product is reasonably priced and works as promised. It is less convenient to use than other pricier products because one has to pee in a cup, wait for 5 minutes before dipping the stick, and then one needs to wait again for another 5 minutes to see the results. But I still prefer this because I am conservative and tend do more daily tests per month than normal to make sure I catch the surge. I can afford to do that with this product. |
Exactly as described

| The strips all come individually packaged and come with clear instructions. While true that they may no be as convenient as the "in the stick" style the cost savings well out weighs any inconvenience. Just make sure to buy a small cup to use them with |
Unbelivably dissapointed

| Hi. I bought a set of 50 a month ago. Each came in an unmarked envelope, and the 50 packets were sent wrapped up in saran wrap. No instructions, no box...basically, nothing except an unmarked manilla envelope, 50 unmarked packets and some saran wrap. Very weird. But it gets better...I was testing daily, and couldn't get even a negative reading on ANY of the strips I tested. One line for negative, two for positive...mine turned pink BEHIND the arrow showing where the marks should be..but never where the marks should be. I have used 30 of them by now...and not a single one worked yet. At a certain point, I gave up and bought the Clearblue strips...and then when I tested positive on the LH strips, tried again with these generic ones...but they STILL didn't work. There wasn't even a piece of paper included in the packet to tell me where to return them or complain to. Basically $30 down the drain/oh well. |
Waste of Money

Like others said the instructions are vague on the packets.
I have gone through 30 now in 2 months and not a single one ever worked. All I get is an 'invalid'. Although cheap, this product is actually WORTHLESS. |
Not worth peeing on

| These tests are a complete waste of money. From the fertility websites I belong to I've surveyed women and half of them get the same pathetic results...nothing! While they are cheap in cost, they are cheap in quality too. Seems like every other batch is bad. I have 10 left out of my batch of 50...I ovulate every month, but these never pick up on it. Not one time out of 40. |
Do not purchase this item

| Do not believe them...there are no instructions. The product is of low quality and a rip off. I don't know the difference between the positve or a negative. They are tiny (which doesn't matter if they really worked)and they fall apart extremely easily. The pos./neg. mark is nowhere is says the mark should be... it is utterly confusing. |
