| If you like the almond variety sweet and salty bars that are out there, then you will like these. The other brands like planters are way too sweet for me and cause my blood sugar to spike. These are not to sweet or salty and are low glycemic so they don't make me sleepy. Great for a quick snack or breakfast. |
Wonderful energy bars!

| I love all the bars in this 'sweet and salty' category, and this particular one is my all-time favorite! Hard to stop with just one, though! |
Great tasting and awesome nutrion stats

| My wife and I were looking for a better tasting high protein bar and these are by far the best we have tasted. (And trust me, we have tasted a lot) They have a great blend of flavors and the sweet/salty nature is enough to curb any "sweets" cravings I get. |
Very tasty nutrition bar!

| I think Balance Bar's "Sweet & Salty" line (there are 3 flavors) is the best-tasting bar out there! And the fact that it's nutritionally balanced is a great plus as well. |
I can't believe these are sooooooooo good tasting, I used to love the Gold caramel ones, 'till I tried these!

Like I said in my title, I used to think they 9BALANCE) REALLY had the market wrapped up in the flavor department, on those Gold Caramel bars that kind of tasted like a snickers bar, then I read the reviews for these & decided to give them a try as I was kind of getting tired of the same bars ( I bought 10 cases of the gold caramel ones, as I have 7 kids & IF I hoped to have a few when I wanted them I had to buy "extra" to share, when they did the puppy dog eyes at me as I nibbled my bar with my A.M. tea, I would give them a snack, cookie, trail mix etc... but they always wanted a piece of my treat! Therefore the 10 case purchase!
Any who....., I digress, These are now my entire families tie for Favorite protein, low glycemic bar! The other one is the Trail Mix chocolate chip bare bars. We open up a few & cut them into pieces & I give each child, some fresh walnuts, almonds, & pecans or cashews with their pieces of the bars, they are to die for!! It's like a custom candy bar kit every morning, sometimes they like to spread them with extra peanut butter & sprinkle on the nuts all chopped up or slices of banana & toasted coconut. They call this 'snack" first thing in the a.M. their First breakfast when we all sit down to do our family devotions, then it's off to get their chores done & their Second breakfast which is usually light as they are so satisfied with their slow burning "fuel" they had at their First breakfast! they have plenty of energy to usually go 3-4 hours if need be from their Balance Bare Bars breakfast! We have tried all the rest, the yogurt ones & peanut ones & fruit ones (I forget what they're called), but they are a bit too sweet for our tastes, but then again we don't like kool aid & sugar cereals, & REALLY REALLY sweet things, IF you do, then you would enjoy these other flavors as well! For our Family these chocolate almond bare bars & the chocolate chip trail bars are number 1, (excuse the pun) , "bar none"! I(I couldn't resist!) LOL :-) |
Simply the best!

You cannot start to compare the taste of this nutrition bar against others.
I always have a snack midday and used to eat the Zone Perfect bars, I specially liked the Chocolate Mint. One day I stopped at an HEB and found these Balance Bare bars. Good-bye Zone Perfect. |
Kids love these

| My kids love these! They provide a good amount of protein, and even though still a lot of sugar, it's less than most other protein bars. I like the fact that there is "whole" food in the bar like almonds. |
Best Nutritional Bar Ever Made!

| Balance Bare Bar is undoubtedly the best nutritional bar out there. Besides being delicious (especially the peanut butter) and nutritious, it has REAL soy ingredients which has helped me get rid of hot flashes, insomnia, and mood swings. I never thought a nutritional bar could taste so good and at the same time be so good for me! Now that I know it really works, I always keep a stash at work and at the house -- even my picky 11-year old loves it as his after-school snack. |
Very Tasty, and better for me than a candy bar

| Unfortunately, I have a chocolate/sweet tooth that is hard to control. I have been known to eat candy bars for either breakfast, lunch, or both. These nutrition bars satisfy that need in me without giving me the "falloff" that candy bars do; besides, these are only 210 calories. I have come to prefer these for a grab and go breakfast or lunch. Surprisingly, they do have a lot of nuts in them, and you can tell the "sweet and salty" flavor. I try to buy these when Amazon runs them at a net cost of $1 or less per bar. At times there are even coupon savings that drive the price down further. My recent shipment had an expiration date of April 2009. They are very fresh and even somewhat moist and particularly go well with my morning coffee. |

Best high protein bar I have found

| My wife and I have been eating power bars for over a year now and we have both lost a lot of weight being able to jump start our metabolism in the morning and feeling "fuller" longer. However, so many high protein (more than 8-10g of protein per serving in my opinion) bars on the market taste like crap. These are by far the best ones I have tasted. I ordered 2 boxes, one of each flavor and plan to order more before then sell out. The combination of sweet and salty not only is satisfying from a taste perspective, I feel fuller longer and have been able to curb so many cravings thanks to these bars. |

| I've tried just about every nutrition/protein bar out there over the past six years and this is by far my favorite. It satisfies both my sweet (chocolate) cravings and my salty cravings at the same time. Great source of protein and fiber without a lot of sugar. I definitely need to buy these by the box!!! |

| My favorite Balance Bar yet. A perfect combo with the chocolate and almonds. The texture is still a little bit "gritty", but the crunchiness and flavor really top the other bars I've tried. |

This is a very tasty Balance bar. Plenty of almonds, crispyness, and
and chewy, just a touch of chocolate on the bottom. Not like a candy bar, more
like a granola bar. Not too sweet. |
My favorite bars by far.

I love Balance Bars. They taste great, have many flavors and satisfy your hunger. This time they were fresh and soft so good job Amazon. Peanut butter is not my favorite thing to eat but Balance Bar made it taste quite well. Almonds and chocolate taste much better for me though.

Good for a quick bite without being fattening

I watch my weight very carefully. I am constantly on a diet in a sense that I am always hungry because I almost never overeat and always try to undereat as much as I can.
But there are times when I feel a potent hunger to the point of becoming physically weak. Whenever that happens these peanut crunch 210 calorie snacks do the job. As others have mentioned, these are tasty and have low glycemic index (low fattening).
I also use these as a calorie booster prior to a workout. As an undereater I never feel I have enough calories for a rigorous workout. But whenever I eat these prior to a workout, I do not suffer from a painful hunger or dizzy spells.
As with any food, overindulgence in these WILL cause weight gain. Furthermore, these are prepackaged with chemical preservatives to increase the shelf life so these can't be all that great for your health. Please consume these in moderation.
If you are looking for a good tasting snack with low glycemic index that can give you a quick boost in calories (especially prior to a workout) then these do the job very well. |

great snack but beware, wheat is in the bar!

I purchased the peanut version of this snack bar.
It was tasty, with a good sweet/salty balance of flavor. It was chewy, and satisfying, perfect for the average hungry person.
However,
I always read carefully, all the information available on the website page that Amazon puts in, as well as the extra button for nutrition/details from the goods box...if it is available. Here it was not. Often,on the products page, Amazon does not offer all the information of a product they are selling. This is one case where it happened, and the end results made a big difference in how my purchase affected me. In reading over the website description, there is no mention that WHEAT is an ingredient in the peanut bar!
I am allergic to wheat.
I discovered the inclusion when having an allergic reaction to the bar after eating. I would not have purchased them if I had known an allergen was in the product.
I have ordered two boxes of this product that I had to offer to others as it cannot be returned to Amazon.
If you have no issues with wheat, then this is a great, not too sweet, satisfying snack bar.
But, Please,Amazon, be more diligent in the listing of ingredients for edible products.

Product Is Excellent ---- Amazon's Shipping Fails!

I am a Prime Amazon member and sometimes swing for the $3.99 overnight delivery. In this case I wanted the item quickly.
I have bought 100's of items from Amazon using their Prime membership and have only had a couple miss the shipping received date.
I noticed that this item was shipped via a company I had not seen before. After going to Amazon's "Where's Your Stuff..." link I saw the company listed as A-1 International. After the second day of the item not arriving I sent an email to Amazon. They shipped out another box overnight, no charge, and again I see the shipper is A-1 International. About 3:30pm in the afternoon the next day my box finally arrives via a rather interesting delivery vehicle, what appears to be a late model economy car.
I am a very big fan and user of the Prime membership but I am hoping that Amazon is not going to include substandard delivery service as a way to save on this plan.
I have ordered again 2 separate items with overnight, one shipped via UPS and 1 shipped by, used guessed it, A-1 International.. so far the UPS package was delivered at 10:20am this morning.. it's 3:35 now and I am not confident that I will get the A-1 package at all.
I wish there was a way to select your shipping company. There's a reason UPS and FedEX are the best!
