I have to admit that I had reservations as to this one simply due to the price. I am a firm believer in that you get what you pay for and I simply did not believe that a BOB costing less than a decent hamburger would be much. Wow was I wrong.
This thing puts you to the edge very, very quickly and then throws you over the top instantly. I do not think I have ever used one of these little toys (and believe me when I say that I have been around the block a few times with such items) that work quite as fast as this one.
I realize that each of us is different and each seeks something that is unique to them. I know of many well recommended products of this nature that cost a fortune, that simply have not done the job I paid them to do. There was actually nothing wrong with the little dears; they simply did not work for me personally. It would be a simple world if we all were the same..boring indeed, but simply never-the-less, but we are not and that is a fact. This one works for me..will it work for you? Ye just don't know till you have given it a test flight and that is an unfortunate fact.
I love the fact that it is waterproof as I am an absolute fish when it comes to hot soapy baths. Talk about relaxing! This think also travels well which is a big plus as far as I am concerned. It it falls out of your luggage when it is being searched, simply wink and blow the inspector a kiss...it works everytime.
Please keep in mind that this vibe is made for clitoral stimulation. It will be obvious to you when you see it, but you need to be aware of that fact before you make the purchase. If you are looking for something for insertion, look else where. Insertion is nice, in particular if you are with a partner (it gives them something to do), but it is not always what you need; depending upon your mood.
For the price, I can hardly see how you can go wrong with this. It uses AA batteries, something I buy by the case for my other toys anyway, and they give it a nice heft. This one is a bit more fragile than some of my other items, but that is not a big problem. I like the changeable heads. Do be sure you disinfect this item and wash well after use. This is especially true if you use it with or on a partner. Fortunately, clean up is a snap.

It does only have one speed, and since I'm fairly sensitive I was actually a bit ambivalent about the strong vibrations. However, this toy is the absolute perfect frequency for my pleasure. The first time I used it, it felt so good and I came so fast that I ended up using it two more times! Like I said, it is possible that this vibrator isn't perfect for everyone. Like the title says there are some cons but there are enough pros for it to get 5 stars.
Pros:
-It is small
-There are five different attachments or you can use it with out an attachment
-It is pretty quiet
-Under ten dollars
-Seems to not need battery changed very often
Cons
-Battery does not lock into place very tightly so you have to be careful, this does not seem to be a very big issue
-The attachments are nice but are not that different in feeling. They are also pretty hard to change.
-It only has one speed but it is a pretty strong one.
I do recommend it in spite of the cons, mostly because of the price and it does work well.

I have had a knot in my neck/shoulder area for about a week now and I received this today - knot is gone. It took about 5 minutes. It's a great massager and I'll have it with me from now on.
I can see how people would have problems with the metal for the battery but as long as you take it easy it's okay. I've been turning it on and off and messing around with it all day and have had no problems. It is more fragile than it probably should be, but if you're conscious of it when turning it on and off it won't be an issue. |

I love this little vibe! I've tried many different vibrators over the years and this is one of my favorites. Others mentioned its not too powerful but I disagree. Its plenty powerful for me. I love that it only uses one AA battery. So many smaller vibes use "button" batteries which die quickly and are quite expensive. I've never tried any others in this line, but now I'm tempeted to buy another variety from teh Berman Center line.

I ordered this product on thurs., opted for standard shipping and it's arrived by Monday. Opened it up and I was pretty skeptical just looking at it's diminutive size and odd looking attachments. Then after assembly and battery insertion, I thought, " There's no way this is little thing can do anything for me." But oh, oh, oh...was I ever WRONG! It's amazing! After only five minutes of use, I experienced englightenment! I couldn't believe it had happened so quickly...and powerfully. It works great! It's got a surprisingly strong vibration, and even though it's small,, trust me....it's a great BANG for the buck. I've tried others before and they all took me at least 45 min - 1 hr for enlightenment....not so with this one. BUY THIS!!!!!!!
Oh..I didn't notice a weird smell, and yes it only has one speed of vibration, but trust me, it's just right. I've only tried to semi-circle attachment, but I'm sure the others work just as great. This little toy will become a frequent flyer with me! |

Bought this as well as a Trinity 5" vib when my wife reluctantly agreed to try a vib. I bought this because I wanted something simple and cheap so that I wouldn't be out a lot of money if she didn't like it. This is not a variable speed so after testing it I was worried it would be too powerful for newbies like us but the wive absolutely loves it. We've only gotten it out a few times so we haven't tried all the heads but it is well worth the money. The design does feel flimsy and I have serious reservations about the waterproof claim but for the price it is a great buy. Small size makes for very portable and discrete. While I have no frame of reference it seems very powerful though a bit loud so I wouldn't use it if you have thin walls. Tips are very easy to swap out. I will try to update this after more use and I know how it holds up.
Guys and ladies if you are looking for a cheap massager to try out using toys I highly recommend this. My wife was very apprehensive about trying it but immediately fell in love with it. I expect one of these will always be in her collection. |

My old one had started making lot of noise, so I had to have a new one.
This one is more solidly built than the old one and quieter even when the old one was brand new. It has a seal to make it waterproof but another seal inside to secure the battery firm. That maybe helping the noise level low.
Battery lasts quite long time but I still recommend getting rechargeables. |

I can't fathom the reviews that say this thing doesn't have enough power. Do you want a gasoline powered, earth shaker that you have to pull-start like a weedwacker? Actually, the Pocket Rocket has been a round quite a while. What's new is the seven interchangeable massage heads. This handy little gadget is useful as a small massager, though as its one AA battery suggests, it's not too powerful. It is just right, though, for taking with you, wherever you go, and quickly and effectively massaging sore or tense spots.
Even better, though, is using it as a vibrator! The pocket rocket is small enough to hide in a nightstand, and it's nice and quiet. It is definitely of the "outie" variety, though, so please do not even consider inserting it in any opening.
So, if you want a small and quiet "outie" vibrator, one that's light on the battery requirements, then get the Athena Waterproof Mini Massager. It's a great piece of vacation gear!

| This is a terrific massager/vibrator. Works wonders on women, (and men too). There is only one speed, but the speed is perfect. Unit works best with the dome-shaped plastic tip/cover in place. The only minor negative is the ON/OFF/OPEN switch. If you are not careful when turning the unit off, the bottom section comes off and the battery could fall out. This is a nusiance, but not a deal breaker. Great price too. Everyone should have one handy for a quick pick-me-up. I ended up buying three, two for my girlfriend and one for me. |

I've had this vibrator for about 2 months now and use it every week...this lil monster is very powerful. It definitely gets the job done and doesn't take too long either. The hum of the vibration isn't too loud and cannot be heard while in another room which is good so you can have privacy while using it.
There are only 2 downfalls in my opinion.
1. -There are no speeds. Just ON~OFF and OPEN to take the battery out when not in use. If it had speed control it would be perfect and I woulda gave it 5 stars.
2. -One of the attachments has like 8 little spike things on it and is uncomfortable, but that is just me though some might like that sensation. The other 3 attachments I love however, I use the smooth tipped one the most. |

This is an incredible toy, its a powerful vibration and lasts forever with just one battery, but theres a few things i dont like.
It says its waterproof but after some time in a steamy bathroom (not even the shower) it started to condense on the insides which leads me to believe it might not be as waterproof as id like. next is its very easy to accidently open it when you turn it off. its a simple twist to on (no multiple settings) but you have to get it exactly right to be OFF without being OPEN.
That being said, I have a few toys, and this is by far my favorite. Very powerful, very discreet & gets the job done :) |

I've gone through 3 pocket rockets before purchasing this mini massager. This is not nearly as strong as a pocket rocket, but I can already tell this will last maybe 3 or 4 times longer than a pocket rocket. It still gets the job done and works well, especially with the 4 attachment covers it comes with - which make things a little more unique. It is made out of tougher, more sturdy, materials and has tighter connecting joints. So it is basically quality over power. And it is wayyy quieter than a PR.
It's a good thing to use during sex or for foreplay, but probably not alone - unless you're really easy to get off. |

Well, it gets the job that needs to be done very well. For the price, I doubt anyone should hesitate to buy it.
Construction quality is very poor though. You twist it to close it as well as power it on. However, there is a metal connector that sticks out and gets bent out of shape very quickly. You literally have to bend it manually after some time to make sure that the battery fits properly. Even a 1 foot drop from the bed to the floor results in the unit disintegrating into its components. The rubber caps on top are also made of very cheap plastic and fit unevenly. We threw them away and just use it without them - which is perfectly fine too.
Once again, for the price (about $7) I probably would not care. Even if it runs for a few months it is totally worth the money. I just wish they had built it a little better. And I would NOT buy it if they tried to increase the price to $15 or something - there are a lot of other good products to buy at that price range. |

My main method of play is a personal mini massager...I'm lazy and it gets the job done.
This one does not have the peak full-battery power that other ones do. I had a Hustler one for a long time, it worked well. A friend gave me a couple cheap white ones. One worked well, the other had a technical issue.

The metal bit attached to the detachable part fell out, putting it back in and putting the batteries in no longer works. | I know Pocket Rocket, and let me tell you, you are no Pocket Rocket. I was impressed that Dr Berman had her own line of toys. This nicely packaged toy barely even vibrates. emailed the manufacturer, so far 6 days and no reply! If you are looking for a small vibrator, get a PR. They Rock-et! |

Got this in the mail, threw some batteries in it, and it worked for five minutes. Then randomly, it just stopped. I've tried changing the batteries, but it fails to create any vibration.
But for those five minutes, it could have been better. |

| Arrived a lot later than the date it was supposed to, and then once it did, it wouldn't work. It never started even after we tried putting the batteries in various ways. The metal inside to secure the pieces together was flimsy and broke within two minutes of opening the device. Nothing about it worked out. Don't EVER purchase this item. |
