Better than expected

These are much better than you would expect from an organic nutrition bar. My family is terrible about eating breakfast, these bars are a great grab and go breakfast that I agree with them on. No more pop-tarts or simple bagel that fills them with empty carbs.
Great snack!

We have these stored in the car, purse, desk and in the snack cabinet for any time we're hungry. We are two adults who enjoy these tasty, small treats when hunger strikes. One of these, an apple or banana and some water can fill us up for a while.
Love these!

These are great for the kids - they love them, they are a decent snack, and they hold up well carrying them around (not like the soft bars). Decent price too - they run .79 per bar in the stores here.
Good Light Snack

I especially like the brownie ones (try dipping them in milk!), the honey graham ones aren't that great. Good for a relatively light midday snack, for both calorie-conscious adults and hungry children.
delicious

My 5 year old daughter has a sweet tooth. She loves the chocolate chip and fudge brownie flavors. They are made with very healthy ingredients. My children don't like the honey graham as much, so I eat those for a snack or quick breakfast.
Great snack for toddlers

I bought these as a treat for my toddler as we potty train. Instead of giving him candy, I dice these bars up and give it as a reward. He loves them, plus I'm happy since there is some nutritional benefit to it. This box comes in 3 flavors.
Yummy!

Not much like a brownie...

Truthfully, I got only one bite before I realized it has something I'm allergic to. I bought the variety pack and tasted the chocolate brownie. It was okay, but my first thought was, "it doesn't taste much like a brownie." Secondly, I thought about the after taste, or an extra taste. It seemed to be lemon, or citric acid.
If I was not allergic, I would think this to be an enjoyable snack, but does not taste like brownie.
The Raw Revolution Chocolate and Coconut bar taste closer to a brownie to me. But then again, oats are very healthy (in clif kids, but not in Raw Revolution). |
Delicious without guilt!

We've been receiving the Clif Kid Zbar variety pack for over six months now, in Subscribe and Save. They're great! The variety pack contains 3 different flavors, Chocolate Brownie, Chocolate Chip, and Honey Graham. All are amazing. They're filling, really tasty, but even more marvelous-- they're low fat and low calorie compared to a lot of other energy bars. And by the way, just 'cause they're called "Kid Zbars" doesn't mean you have to be a kid to like them! I eat them, and I'm no kid! And my "kids" are all over 18! Try for yourself!
Very good energy bar!

This is a nutritious snack and also great for adults because of the smaller size proportion and therefore less calories. Good for when busy and on the go, exercising, etc. Variety of flavors are very tasty.
Love the Z Bars! Good for the kids and good for me!

My 2 Boys Love These Bars!!

My 10 and 14 year old boys are hard to please but these bars do the trick! They take one everyday for a school snack. I feel good knowing that I am providing them with more a nutritious snack than many more popular snacks. I never have to beg them to take one...but do have to limit how many they eat a day due to the cost. I will continue to purchase these bars and look forward to new flavors. Amazon is the only place I go to purchase them due to the excellent price and FREE shipping. Thanks!!
all flavors were great!

Even my 8 year old enjoyed them. Her favorite was the honey graham. They are natural/whole grain, but not tasteless.
Excellent value and product, but wish there were fruit flavors

Being able to purchase CLIF ZBars for $14.00 with Free Super-Saver Shipping (if there was something else one was already going to buy to meet the $25.00 minimum threshold for it) is an unbeatable value! That amounts to about 58 cents per organic bar. The cheapest I have ever seen these bars is at Trader Joe's, where I believe they are $.50 or $.60 each. At most natural foods stores, they are $.75-$.99 each. They are also sold in smaller boxes of 5 or 6 (single-flavor) for about $5.00-$6.00. The price is great but I do wish there were fruit flavors (Apple Cinnamon, Blueberry) included. This is not because I have any delusion that these fruit flavors are substitution for eating a balanced diet of real, whole foods (including lots of fresh fruit), but because they taste good! Sometimes, one just isn't in the mood for chocolate/over-sweetness, and wants something less "candy-bar"-tasting and a bit saltier and more food-like (and dare I say, 'NutriGrain'-reminiscent). Overall, I'm happy with this purchase because it'd be much more expensive to buy these 24 bars individually. I just wish that a fruit flavor (or even the Peanut Butter) was included. Better yet, I'd love to see a variety box composed of one of each of their flavors: Apple Cinnamon, Blueberry, Honey Graham, Chocolate Brownie, Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter (x4 = 24). I'm not sure why companies who create variety packs don't seem to go for that idea. That would literally have something for everyone.
My 3 year old loves these!

My three year old loves these and has been eating them for a while now. I love that they are much better for him than typical preschooler snacks. He happily eats these while other kids eat their sugar laden junk. I wish the variety pack included some of the fruit flavors (honestly the graham ones are too sweet and usually his last choice and I would rather not have 2 with chocolate). I'm actually on amazon looking at prices for a box of a different flavor. I typically buy these at Sam's club.
Taste Great - Too Much Sugar

While the ingredients and flavor are superb, each bar has over two teaspoons of sugar which is all the added sugar a child should get in a day (American Heart Association).
If you are climbing mountains, you can easily burn off the excess sugar. Desk potatoes like me, however, have to stick to lower processed carb cuisine.

Review from My Kids' Perspective

I got these for my twin 5-year-old boys. I have eaten Cliff Bars for years before the gym (my preferred bar) and they love my Cliff Bars. However, my Cliff bars are just too big and I figured this would be a great alternative. Well, simply put, from the first bite my boys said the following things: "These don't taste good." "I don't like this." "It [sic] okay, but I really don't want anymore." And it didn't mater what flavor I gave them, and what day I gave them one, they told me they did not like them because they tasted bad. (I have to admit, I had one and it wasn't good to me either). One last note for those wondering, my kids don't get junk food of any kind, so you'd think they'd love these things. I decided to get them the Mini Cliff Bars at 1 oz each and that made them very happy (flavor-wize) and they're just the right size. My advice, have your kids try one of these before buying a 24 pack. THEY DON'T TASTE LIKE CLIFF BARS!
Kids Love Them, Terrible Customer Service, Bad Product Quality

My kids love these. I am disappointed they had the Peanut Butter E. Coli recall last year. Instead of refunding my purchase and solidifying a loyal customer they gave me 50 single Z-Bar coupons. No way I can or will use all of them.
First of all they didn't vet out their suppliers for quality, then they screwed the consumers who bought the dangerous products. |
