USED WITH ALPHATRAK METER (DOG METER)

Review Date: October 18, 2009
Reviewer: Craig Michelson,
I've been using these strips in my AlphaTrak meter (dog / cat meter). The true AlphaTrak strips are very expensive, more than twice as expensive as these Freestyle Lite strips. I've run a comparison of the two strips on the same drop of blood and got the same reading. I've run other tests 2 - 3 minutes apart, on different droplets, and the readings were within a few points. Of course, make your own decision as to using these strips for your dog.

Product I received was exactly the same as I have been getting from my local Pharmacy, except much less expensive
Amazing

Reviewer: D. Diesness,
I've been diabetic for well over ten years and the Freestyle Lite is by far the best meeter I've ever had. I've searched around quite a bit and this is the cheapest I've seen the testing strips anywhere, either in store or on the internet. I hope Amazon continues to stock this item well into the future. I for one will defiantly be a returning customer.

Freestyle Lite Mail Order Test Strips, 50-Count Box

These arrived on time and in perfect condition. I would definitely order from this company again
The only one I've used--see no reason to change.

My doctor told me I need to start checking my blood/glucose daily. If the numbers creep up, then I am officially diabetic and life gets alot harder. The doc gave me no guidance on particular brand of meter or test strip. I work with people who have type one diabetes and have been testing more than once a day for many years. I heard good things about this testing system, including glowing reports from people who had actually worked developing this meter, or some of the competition. The bad news was the cost. I was told that unless I bought 750 strips at once at Costco, I could expect to pay a dollar a strip.

It took about a week to get the technique down so I get a good reading the first time. After that it has not been a problem. Also, this source is much better price than a dollar a strip.

However, the entire home glucose test industry is rotten at the core. Accuracy of plus or minus 10 percent is the the standard. I work for one of the largest medical test equipment makers and that kind of result is just plain horrible. It could easily be much better with little increase in overall cost to the user, considering the huge size of the customer base.
Quick delivery and great price

Reviewer: J. Dang,
This item is alot cheaper to buy online than to purchase in store. Delivery was quick and the product works. I was initially worried that the product would have an expiration date that was too soon and wouldn't have enough time to use all the test strips before it expired. However that wasn't a problem since the expiration date was about a year from date of purchase. One happy buyer.

These strips work well. Have consistently had no more than one dud in a pack of 50, and not necessarily even that single dud in a pack.
Excellent Supplier-Atlantic Diabetic Supply

Atlantic Diabetic Supply really cares about their customers. I had misjudged the timing of ordering my test strips and called the seller to see if there was anything they could do to escalate my order. The told me they would call me back and when they did they were able to quickly get my package on its way within a few hours of my call. I received the test strips the very next day quicker than I expected. Their prices are also very good for anyone who is looking to order diabetic supplies. Thank you for being a company that cares.

A Good Substitute

I bought these test strips to use in my Alpha Track meter for my dog. The meter and strips are made by the same company and fit in the meter.

As far as numbers. These strips are off by 10-15+/- points vs the regular Alpha Track test strips. Which is a good enough. Plus the cost is 1/2 that of the Alpha Track kind.
convenient

Are They "Real" or "Counterfeit"?

We have had several of these test strips not work. Out of the 300 we've purchased, that's not many, but we expect every one to work, especially at the price we pay.

No problem with product itself- as long as you have a while to wait on delivery. Nothing I have ordered from Amazon has ever taken this long to receive. Unfortunately I had to go out & buy other supplies while waiting for strips to arrive. If estimate date of 20 DAYS would have been provided to begin with, I may have made another choice. Again, no problem with actual product.
Love The Meter Not Sure About Test Strips

Review Date: July 18, 2009
Reviewer: Owned By Kitties,
The Freestyle Lite Meter is easy to use. But the test strips are confusing. For one thing, they are the same colors all the way through (black and white). Have to be careful to insert it so the words "Freestyle Lite" face down. You'll see the black spots at the end. (They look like those on a black and white cow.) The area where you place your blood sample is to the side rather than the end. Not all of the test strips work properly. It definitely takes getting used to.
