I tried these bars on the recommendation of a food review site. I have one word to describe them - WOW! I bought a sample package of each of the five flavors (offered on the manufacturers site gnufoods.com), and while I appreciated the nutrition of the bars, I didn't really like the first four flavors. I tried the cinnamon raisin last and fell in love on the spot. It's like a soft cinnamon rasin cookie. The texture is great - soft and chewy. The taste is more then I could hope for from a fiber bar, and at 130 calories - these are a great addition to any diet.
If you are thinking about trying them - stop wasting time and pick them up! I really recommend trying the 5 flavor sampler first, since we all have different tastes's (my mother doesn't like the cinnamon raisin but loves the banana walnut).
It tastes good AND is good for me? It doesn't get much better then this! |
Can you say "yummo"

| These are the best high fiber bars I have ever eaten. With only 130 Cal are more filling than a 100 cal bar its worth the 30 extra cal and the high fiber is a bonus. The peanut butter bar tastes evil, the banana walnut taste great warmed up and the raisin oatmel tastes like a soft cookie, so good everyone should include them in any diet!!! |
This is the best tasting Gnu Bar

| I previously only at the chocolate, but read a rave review about the Cinnamon Raisin, so I ordered. It tastes like an oatmeal cookie, delicious. I highly recommend the cinnamon raisin if you haven't tried it yet. If you have tried it, you know what I'm talking about. |
Yummy

| Gnu Bars are delicious and so I ordered Cinnamon Raisin to expand my range of flavors. It too is delicious, mild and satisfying. I will certainly continue to purchase them. As a Weight Watcher, I found it to be a blessing to learn that this substantially sized bar is 2 points only, largely due to the 12 grams of fiber. I don't think there is a single preservative ingredient present. |
Cinamon raisin tastes so good

| They all tastes really good. I bought the sampler via the gnu website but my hubby and I loves the cinnamon. It is cheaper to buy it via amazon, ~30 cents cheaper per bar. It is not too sweet just right, has less calories than other bars and with the high fiber, that did it for me. |
Best Gnu Flavor!

| Of all the Gnu bars, this is hands down, my favorite. For some reason, this bar seems to have a chewier, softer texture compared to the other flavors and the (somewhat meagerly interspersed) raisins always contribute to a nice bite. This flavor lends itself most to a cookie-like comparison, don't get me wrong, it's no cookie, but it's the closest! |
Just GNU it!

| I am a huge fan of the Gnu bars. They have the most fiber with the fewest calories of any other bar out there (that I know of), they keep their shape well even when tossed around in a bag for a day or two and most importantly, I can pronounce the ingredients on the label. I'm an "eat clean" gal and these work when I'm traveling or in an all day situation with no breaks. I love this flavor. It's a great way to start the morning or pick you up in the afternoon if you have a bit of a sweet tooth. If you want to try all of them, I suggest you start at [...] and get the sampler pack first (they offer free shipping on your first order). I still order the bulk packs here because Amazon has the best prices. |
Best Fiber bars ever

I was looking for a bar with alot of fiber and NO High Fructose Corn Syrup, cholesterol, trans fat, hydrogenated oils, artificial flavors, artificial colorings, I found them with this product. I First went to Whole Foods to try all the flavors, I purchased Banana, Peanut Butter(doesn't much have alot of peanut butter taste) Chocolate (tasted more like dark chocolate) and Cinnamon raisin. After eating them for a couple months, Cinnamon Raisin is my favorite. Can not go wrong with these. Pricing here changes from $19.99 to $30 a box, I wish I knew why that is. What about Auto Delivery?? With the option of changing flavors each time??

I have been a Fiber One bar loyalist for a few years now - it's literally been my breakfast almost daily since 2008. I am not sure why, but I bought one of these Gnu Bars at Whole Foods on a whim, and despite the cost being significantly higher than Fiber One bars, I will never go back.
Why? These things taste friggin' AMAZING! The Cinnamon Raisin, though, is probably my favorite. Does it taste like a high fat cookie? No. Does it taste awesome, especially when you consider that it's a FIBER bar? Absolutely! Even my friends who normally turn their noses up at anything even remotely healthy have been won over. I have also tried the Orange Cranberry (yum, but the Orange is REALLY strong), the Banana Oatmeal (also yum - tastes like banana bread) and the Chocolate (my least favorite, but still really good) and have now ordered a pantry full of them.
You can buy these bars at Whole Foods or directly from the manufacturer, but Amazon has by far the best price, especially if you live in a non-tax state and have a Prime membership.
If all natural/healthy food tasted this good, we'd be a much happier and healthier country! |
Cinnamon Raisin is the Winner!

In a recent hotly contested election, the Gnu Foods Cinnamon Raisin bar was elected as the best tasting. I'm glad my candidate won. :')
Seriously, of the five current flavors of these fiber bars, Cinnamon Raisin is by far the best. The others are okay but nothing special (3 stars) with the Chocolate Brownie my next choice (4 stars).
These are not you typical nutrition bars, they are real food. They are made with healthy, fresh ingredients and taste like something mom might bake. Packed with nutrition, they are also a good choice for meal replacement if you are on the run. The only thing lacking is extra protien (there is some) so keep that in mind. You could try pairing it with the high protein ZOIC Nutrition Drink. The fiber fills you up and helps keep you full for hours. It amazes me that two bars have almost all of my daily serving needs for fiber. And they really do keep you regular, if you know what I mean.
I could ramble on but the only way to know yourself is to try one. My suggestion is try the Cinnamon Raisin first, then the others if you like it. I'm betting you come back to the Cinnamon Raisin.
Be healthy and enjoy! |

I purchased a sampler pack and the Cinnamon Raisin GNU bars are my second favorite (Banana wins). I love these bars for a satisfying 130 calories for a snack after I work out or to tide me over.
These have a lot of fiber so make sure you drink with lots of liquid or you will have a lot of Gas. I've tried to put flax in smoothies but it's all in here for you!
The nice thing about these bars is that they do not kick off sugar cravings and leave your body feeling *clean*.
