I love this lapdesk, it makes it so much more conveneint. The color is darker than what the photo shows, more of a raspberry pink, than light pink.
The light is super bright, makes it so nice to type in a dim to dark room. It does not eat batteries like other laptop lights that I have had.
The wrist rest makes it amazingly comfortable to type....
I would totally suggest this to anybody who wants a lapdesk. Though I have not used it for just writing, I'm sure it's amazing for any application you would want to use it for. |
Just what i was looking for!

| This lap desk is perfect. The light is strong enough to help you see if you need it and it's flexible arm makes it very convenient. The desk size is about perfect for a 13-15 inch laptop. The wrist support is not too high, just enough to help you type and keep items from sliding forward. The filling is not beads, it's more like a pillow, very comfortable. Looks well made and sturdy, I hope it lasts a long time. At this price it is a great purchase! |

I love this lap desk..
The only problem is that the switch for the lamp and the actually lamp that's connected to it is at the top right corner which takes up 2 inches of space...this makes it so that if you have a 15 inch laptop it won't fit perfectly.
I mean the switch could've been placed on the side right?? |

| I have the Acer Aspire One series (the 10 inch mini) and I was a little concerned about it slipping and sliding everywhere. Wrong. I open the box (I received it today, on schedule)and not only is it the perfect size (my mini fits perfectly smack dab in the middle), the wrist pad keeps my laptop in place. Don't get me wrong, it slides a little if I start moving around, but nothing serious. Also, don't be fooled by the images. The pink is a little misleading, it looks really light. I was happily surprised to find a gorgeous dark pink color on both the wrist pad and bottom cushion. I'm in love! But for someone who might be excited by the light color, you'll be disappointed. Haven't tried out the lamp yet, don't have 3 AAA batteries, but it everything looks to be in working order! This was definitely a great deal! For $[....] bucks, when everything else like it is at least $[...] , I'm completely happy. :D |
Love it!

| This lapdesk is great! It's comfortable and the color is pretty too. I've had mine for about month now and it is still like new, it's not loosing it's shape like the other one I had before this one. It has a good wrist pad too. Also, the light on it works really well, it's bright without being too bright. I don't use it all that often but the battery is still good on it. The light switch doesn't bother me at all, it is totally out of the way and I have a good size laptop - it has a 15" screen. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. |

We debated between a few different lap desks but settled on these because of the built-in light. The kids love them and have no complaints at all. We would definitely recommend these to anyone...especially kids! |

| I ordered this lap desk to use when sitting at home in my recliner. I was using just a cooling unit underneath but I wanted a place to use a wireless mouse. This desk provides just enough space for my laptop (Sony Vaio VGN-CR120E) and my mouse. The only thing I would change is if the light could be at the corner with the switch to the left of it to provide more space for the laptop and have the light not so close to the edge of the laptop. Don't get me wrong, there is enough space for my size laptop, but it would be nice if the design of the light placement was as I stated before. Overall great choice, and reasonable price. |

| I like the SPI Lapdesk with reading light a lot. I especially like the fact that it has the wrist support. It makes laptop computing on the couch very comfortable for long stints. I use the reading light occasionally, but it swivels out of the way easily when not in use. This lapdesk was priced right. I couldn't see paying a lot more for such a simple item. |

| I bought this in pink and black. Surprisingly the pink was made from a soft sueded material and cost $5 less than the black. The light works great! It's not incredibly bright, but we're using them as lap tables for my children in the car. It's enough for them to see what they're doing without disturbing my driving. $10 cheaper than most lap tables and just as effective. They're pretty large, but come in a cardboard briefcase like box (has a top handle) that works great for storage. A+ |

| I also own this in the pink color, and I would have to say this is the perfect laptop desk for my kids. It fits their laptops perfectly with room to spare for a mouse, the light is bright enough for them to do homework on it, it is very light weight, the cushion on the bottom and the wrist support are very soft and comfortable, and the price was the cheapest I could find anywhere. Overall, this was a great purchase. |

| This laptop desk is a really nice design. I did a lot of searches to find out what was available and I'm glad I decided to go with this one. The price was affordable and the lapdesk is big enough to accomodate the use of a mouse. I don't use the light when I'm using my laptop but it's nice for reading. This lapdesk makes working on my laptop a lot more comfortable than just having it sit on my legs. |

Highly recommend if you are using it for the same purpose that I described above. |

| With up to six laptops in the house on any given day, this is the perfect accessory! The price is right ($20), the style is great, the handle is convenient, etc. The arm of the light could be a little firmer (sometimes when you adjust the angle of the light it doesn't "stick"), but that's a minor annoyance and easily correctable! |

The SPI Lapdesk with Reading Light and Wrist Support is so useful!
I use it for reading, writing, and surfing the web for hours on my laptop. It comfortably fits laptops that are even 17".
It's very comfortable, creating an even surface allowing you to do just about everything that you would do on a normal desk, but in the comfort of your own bed or even sofa. The LED light is very bright and can be bent in any direction that you would need.
The wrist support is very soft and comfortable making typing a breeze.
I'd suggest this product to anyone looking for a comfortable lapdesk to do some work on.

| This desk is big enough to hold a 17' laptop and still have room to move a mouse around beside it. It is very lightweight so my daughter has no problem at all moving it around with the laptop on it. I could only give hers 4 stars, though, because there is a defect in her light and it doesn't want to stay in position very well which gets a little annoying. But the light itself is bright enough to use for anything. Overall, it was a great purchase. |

| i ordered this to read in bed. I do tons of reading for school and needed a more comfortable way to do so. The light works ok, sometimes it flickers a bit but it is nice and bright. One thing that might improve this product is if it had some sort of adjustable incline to hold your book in case you don't want to sit with your knees up in bed. |

| The lap desk is a really nice quality and is soft, but stable on your lap. We use this item in the car to get homework done between activies and it works well accept the light is very dim. We need to open the glove compartment light to get enough light to actually see anything. The unit is a little big for the car making it a little awkward for car use, but overall we are happy with it. |

| Aside from the fact that this lapdesk is a bit heavier than I expected, it's extremely comfortable and ergonomically functional for an Apple keyboard and mouse. I've used it for reading, too, and I think the light is bright enough for the pages and not too harsh on the eyes. To get a wrist bar and a light, for the price, I don't think there's a comparable lapdesk available on Amazon that can touch this one! |

| This lapdesk is awesome! We have an office with our main home computer and recently added my daughters' tower to the office but had no room for her old monitor. So we got her a flatscreen monitor and mounted it to the wall. But alas, no where for the keyboard but on her lap. Voila! Your lapdesk! Now she had a comfortable place for her keyboard and the light is a plus when the room is dark. The lapdesk is well made and ergonomic. The only flaw is that it should have a pull out tray to accomodate a mouse. Then it would be A+ perfect! But we still love it. |

There is a space for mouse if you are using 15 inch or less lap tops. I have to say, it is a little bulkier than I expected..

I got this lap desk to replace a cheap-o one that I had gotten for ten bucks at Staples. I am very pleased with this desk for a number of reasons.
Pros:
-It fits my Dell Studio 15 perfectly with enough room to use a mouse on one side (not recommended for lefty mousers because of light position)
-The wrist rest is firm to my liking and also keeps the laptop itself very steady
-The firm plush (non-bean bag) cushion has maintained its shape over the last 6 months or so of very consistent use and is comfortable
-It is easy to clean and so far has not shown any scratch marks even with my rough treatment
-Overall very durable but lightweight
Cons:
-The light is not very strong and offers annoying harsh pinpoints of light rather than overall lighting of the desk area
-Sometimes I wish it were an inch wider just for mousing and beverage purposes, or perhaps that it had come with a cup holder like some other desks, but these design points are minor and might actually detract from the desk overall
-Left-handed mousers are out of luck unless the laptop is short enough to fit between the light and wrist rest (the Studio 15 is about 1.5" too long/deep)
Overall I would recommend this for righty mousers who don't actually care about the light feature or want to use it only intermittently. I am very happy with my purchase but I also wouldn't care if the light fell off tomorrow. |

| I purchased this so that I would have an option to watch TV while I wrote out bill payment. It sits very comfortably on your lap; no slipping the fabric is great. Easily slides behind a chair in the TV room for storage. The light is not as cooperative for staying in place, although it is a nice feature. The color is nice and the wrist support serves as that and also as an edge to keep your pen from falling off. |

| I like the lapdesk as it makes it really comfortable to work when away from a real desk. The color is more burgundy than pink (which is fine for me). The wrist support helps too... My only problem is the lamp. The light is too dim and has a color that makes it uncomfortable to read, so that I ended up never using it and hoping I had bought a plain lapdesk, for all the lamp does for me is taking space and getting on my way. |

| I have a Inspiron 1764 (17.3" screen) and it barely fits. I checked the dimensions before I ordered and it looked as if I would ample room, not the case. As other reveiws said it is not really pink but more of a mauve color. The light works great I find it to be plenty bright and the base of the neck isn't the sturdiest but doesn't seem to affect it staying in position if you're careful. The lapdesk itself sits comfortibly in the lap and is fairly light weight, I do especially like that it has a handle. |

| Review Date: March 14, 2010 |
| Reviewer: Sandra, Chicago, IL |
| This lap desk is nice in terms of the wrist cushion and LED light. However, it is larger than I need for my netbook computer, although it is probably a good size if I used a separate mouse or for a full-sized laptop computer. What I do not like about the lap desk it the synthetic cushion, which makes my lap too warm. While the desk is thick enough to shield your lap from the heat of the lap top, it is rather ironic that your lap gets too hot from the cushion. |

| This lap desk is very cute, but not very functional. I bought it for my 5 year old daughter because she loves to draw and she will draw anywhere anytime, so I thought a lap desk would be great. I was wrong, at least where this one is concerned. The light will not stay upright without multiple attempts at repositioning and sometimes not even then. It is a source of frustration every time she wants to use the desk. It has been this way since it came out of the box, I am just not much of a return person with mail order. I feel you could do much better with a [...] spending limit in searching for a lap desk.(But, what do I know Registered Nurse with a 5 year old to raise on my own!) |

| If your only purpose for this lap desk is to work with it bed so as not to disturb the other person then this is the one you need. The light is not strong enough in my opinion and the adjustable arm needs to be more sturdy. Even when you fix the arm it still falls forward a bit, it doesn't stay where you put it. The zipper compartment that holds the batteries is very difficult to get in to. The zipper does not glide smoothly at all and opening and closing it took a pair of pliers. We were afraid the zipper was going to bust apart at the seams. I would not reccomend this unless it was for very limited use. |

I first received the box and it was open because of poor taping next the SPI Lapdesk box was just thrown in a bigger box with a piece of tissue and because of poor packing my product was damage and i had to exchange it for a new one. When i received my second shipment it was pack beautifully it was pack in three boxes which gave little room to move around and get damaged. If this would have happened the first time i would have been very pleased and gave a higher rating. Note the color is not pink like i had ordered but a burgundy. |
